De Naklank van Stilte, 2003 :
This is a one-off, specially ordered theatre play conceived, written, directed and performed by Marcus Moonen. For the annual bookweek the University of Twente wanted a special play, that reflected the year's bookweek theme: "death". Because of the quality of the performance at the university of a previous show by the group Marcus was a founding member (see ArtEfficiency on archive.org) of, the board decided to ask Marcus to write and perform this play. It is called "De Naklank van Stilte", which translates to "Silence' Resonance". The play is a stand-off between a worldly, educated man, who is lecturing the audience on how to live with death as your guide, appealing to their intellect and ratio; and a madman, rummaging through papers in a bathrobe, spewing his emotions against a backdrop of disturbing images.
